i recommend this video here. it's a Q&A session between president obama and the republican house, and the questions are quite direct.

in our teacher training, we talk about what ideologies we bring into the classroom--how we potentially bias our students through the penetration of our own beliefs--and i'll admit, my bias is for critical thinking and open (genuine) dialogue. and i don't feel bad about that.
